  • About the Author
_
I've been writing fanfiction since July 2009. I am so thankful that people are enjoying something I am enjoying doing!! I am also striving toward original fiction.

You know it's funny. I re-read my stories from time to time to make sure I am in keeping with the beginnings as I am working on the next chapters, or to see what people are referring to in their reviews. I can not believe I was involved in writing these stories. It is so surreal to read something I wrote and actually like it. I am so humbled at the reviews.

When I am working on a story with chapters it gets hard near the end. I know the story is nearing the end...but I hate to end it. I think that is why sometimes there is so much time between updates. I just can't seem to write the next chapter knowing it is almost over. So I think maybe a new twist would extend it at least a little. Oh and of course then there can always be a sequel.

Thank you for sticking with me on my stories. I really love getting reviews to let me know you really are there, and that you keep me in check with your comments...both encouraging and critical (I do pay attention to those as well). I just wanted to take a minute to say THANKS!!

I absolutely LOVE Emergency!. I grew up watching it and still LOVE it today! Maybe even more.

I think Randy Mantooth is a hunk!

I have been bitten by the E! writing bug. The stories just jump onto my computer screen. Sometimes while I am driving my mind wanders to a story idea. I guess that could be a good thing or could be really really strange.

I also like NCIS, Law and Order, and Harry Potter, House, Sherlock Holmes. My new favorite current TV show is the New Hawaii 5-0. My best friend and I have marathons where we sit for hours and watch several episodes of E!, NCIS, or Harry Potter. We even have official NCIS hats like they wear on the show from a friend who works for the agency. Maybe I'll try writing some stories about those shows as well someday. I absolutely adore mysteries and stories with a twist.

I am very pleased to say that I have made many new online friends that also love Emergency! You are a great bunch of people and I am thrilled to be a part of this online community.

I am so impressed with the high caliber of writing that I've found in Emergency and other fandoms. The range of ideas is mind boggling.

Some of my stories are based on actual events in my life or the lives of others around me. The duct tape being used to tape an IV actually happened in my home when the paramedics came out for my husband when he had pericarditis (hope that's spelled right), and by the way he did take a shower before going to the hospital only it was before the paramedics arrived. It was not a fun situation, but he did get a lot of mileage about the duct tape story, as have I. The poem used in Mother's Magic was written by my husband and inspired that story. The house explosion idea came from an actual home explosion here in town that injured a cousin of a dear friend of mine, but I also had an aunt who was killed in a similar situation many years ago. Just to name a few.

On the personal side I am a 49 year old widowed mother of two teenage girls. I live in Tennessee, so I guess you could say I am country. I live in a ranch style house with a big front porch. On my porch I have a bench and several rocking chairs, so my friends and I sit out there and wave at the passing neighbors while enjoying an ice cold beverage.

I also dabble in Emergency! music videos. You can see mine at http://www.youtube.com/user/momyourethegreatest?feature=mhum

I check my email regularly to see if I have any feedback from my stories, so if you read them...please let me know what you think!!
